"You should never say bad things about the dead, only good. Joan Crawford is dead. Good".

If restaurants are struggling, put up prices. That way it's transparent and people know what the bill will be when they walk in
This subterfuge to avoid tax and take away tips from staff is just wrong

I think this speech needs sharing again.

Since the PM said this, there have been Tories who have come out & said the same as Reform: that they want to see people with a legal right to be in the UK get deported.

Call it out and stand up for these people - our friends, neighbours and key workers.

About time.

This country's childish obsession with low taxes has led to crap public services, just like the USA. Happy countries with good public services pay a lot more tax.
His proposal would mean Churchill wouldn't have been able to be Prime Minister and King Charles couldn't be head of State...but suspect they'd get a pass as they're white

So this is Labour's response to Farage's speech this morning - but put out this afternoon across all the channels they are active on.

Very good Labour, very good!

“Okay, more property taxes coming right up”

“NO NOT THAT”

“Okay, pension taxes it is, then”

They will continue to have have marches every week condemning Putin’s vicious war of aggression against the civilian population...oh

The final line here is utterly, utterly batshit given everything that is going on right now.

I'm sure that Putin will pay a lot of attention to the 'non-militarised European Security Framework'
The Green Party condemns Russia’s invasion, backs Ukraine’s sovereignty, and urges peace talks. It opposes NATO expansion and supports replacing NATO with a cooperative, non-militarised European security framework 💚

I do believe that misogyny is partly to blame for this. Reeves has spoken out against "trickle down economics", and demonstrated that she believes those with broader shoulders should pay more. Possible tax changes shouldn't come as a shock, but I suppose it is far easier to credit a man instead.
I am getting rather bored of "Rachel Reeves is only considering [insert policy here] because of Zack Polanski". She made progressive changes to tax last year that were aimed at closing loopholes or targeting wealthier people, but they have been ignored. After all why give Reeves credit for anything?

As a Labour party member I'd like theses (presumably unanmed MP's) to spend their time broadcasting the near 60% of manifesto pledges which have been delivered or are in progress. I don't want them indulging in gossip and tittle tattle with journalists and commentators.

The PM may have ruled out an investigation but key questions remain about the chancellor's housing rules admission.

- Tories & Reform oppose it
- Turkey Typhoon delivering jobs and investment.
- Reform can’t be trusted on defence
