Almost a century later, Citizen Kane remains the best portrait of a tycoon who proclaims high minded ideals after buying a news outlet (and falls short when that proves inconvenient) 😬

I do think a 97 leadership is a bit high for Lu Bu. In the book he’s an incomparable warrior but he’s not really portrayed as a great leader. I would put him between 75 to 80 🙏

Romance of the Three Kingdoms is almost always a game where “for want of a nail the kingdom was lost.”

So when your elaborate plans come together and you pull off an impressive win, it is pretty satisfying 🎉💝🙏

Lu Bu is pretty rugged in RTK8R.

His group had 18K troops (instead of the normal 7-9) and was dishing out 4K damage. His high leadership stat reduces damage, so it took patience to wear him down.

The key: I planted a spy, which confused his army. So I avoided the initial Lu Bu bull rush 🎉

Just scored a fairly satisfying victory over Lu Bu in Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake.

I had a much better force, but defense has advantages in this game. And Lu Bu's neighbor sent a boatload of reinforcements.

In the end, it came to down to my best warriors dishing out huge damage fast.

Lu Bu is strong but cannot be trusted.

Even if you give him a sheepskin rug 😐

I never heard of Drew Struzan before this week, but wow did I know his work 🎉💝🙏

I read the first volume of Vox machina earlier this year and thought it was pretty good.

I didn’t love it right away but it was alright and I picked up vol 2

I’m the worst library patron. Sometimes I’ll borrow a graphic novel and won’t open it until I get that first due notice 😔

Went to a comic book store today for the first time in a while.

It was a whole vibe, but I didn’t have a lot of time to spare.

Even so, it was great seeing all that art in one place 🎉

I didn’t do the DLC yet. Heard it was good.

Buying this game was kind of goofy.

On Amazon it’s $20, but they need three weeks to send a code in the mail 😔

The Nintendo store it’s $50, sale price as the newest game 😔

So I’m driving to Walmart to get it for $20 later today 😬

I was worried about getting through the gate and then Lu Bu decided to come out and fight anyway 😂

My son waited his whole life for Pikmin 4 and found it mildly disappointing after the greatness that was Pikmin 3. But I think he did enjoy some of the dandori challenges.

There were two main arcs in the new series.

One was about things being out of sync and about maybe giving too much of yourself.

The second was about choosing what’s most important 💕

“I may have blocked you” 💀

I’ve never finished it, which is wild because it’s in the Square Enix holy trinity of that era 😳

Hoping to beat it with the kids someday.

In a very general sense, Rowell’s first run on She Hulk was about starting over. But it was about evolving a little bit, so the pieces in your life fit better. I loved it.

The second run is more about when things are lacking harmony 😔

I’ve had a lot of good things happen this year, but finding Rainbow Rowell’s second run of She Hulk at the library is easily in my top 5.

I really hope she gets a third run with this one someday.
