At the Ward 8 for a New Mayor rally last Saturday, Commissioner Angela Conley said the county's been trying to work with the mayor on homelessness for seven years and he's shut them out.

The way that Taylor has been out-reporting the Strib is both a massive credit to Taylor and an embarrassment to the state’s largest media outlet. The levels of completeness and factuality in Taylor’s reporting is truly impressive.

It would be nice if the editors at the Strib were paying attention.

We need a Mayor who will address homelessness seriously. Someone who will address fiscal cliffs and won’t pit vulnerable communities against one another because he doesn’t care about our unhoused neighbors. 2/

“We went out to Denver as a group, and some representatives from Hennepin County came and we learned about the Denver model, which was to have an intense effort around those investigations.”

HCAO did go and we were excited about the Denver model. Minneapolis didn’t implement it.

We treat every non-fatal shooting in Saint Paul with the same urgency as a homicide. We’re solving more cases, cutting crime by double digits, and producing a record-low homicide rate—proving this action-driven approach creates safer outcomes.
St. Paul solved more crimes, had drastically fewer homicides in 2025
A remarkable shift is under way in St. Paul. The city is on track for a 70 percent drop in homicides by the end of 2025. And they’re solving more than 70 percent of crimes.

I wonder how long the Strib will get away with saying the crime problem in MPLS is the result of an "understaffed police force" instead of saying that the city's leadership chooses to not implement proven strategies for reducing violent crime. www.startribune.com/roper-doomsd...

This was the vibe at the Indigenous Peoples’ Day Powwow!

@omarfatehmn.com got tons of love and support. Getting stopped every second.

And cars just kept honking at him and saying hello as he was leaving.

Something special is happening in Minneapolis.
