Fibercrafts, books. Still not much to say. Will block on vibes, still deciding about xylophones. Sometimes I take time to respond, because I am trying to be thoughtful. Has read but does not like Moby Dick. Still on Dreamwidth and Mastodon

No.

He didn't "use the shutdown to do it".

He's pretending the Shutdown is the reason; when if there had been no shutdown he'd have done it anyway.

Pretending "it's the shutdown" is giving him cover for his lawless behavior.
President Trump has used the shutdown to lay off thousands of workers and cancel an estimated $27 billion in funding for projects in Democratic cities and congressional districts.
How is this shutdown different from other shutdowns?
President Donald Trump has used the shutdown to make unprecedented changes to the federal government.

I will probably be saying this for the rest of my life but I can’t imagine growing up now in a world where you have no idea if the information you encounter everywhere through photo and video is even real

We'll work together with people it is MOSTLY SAFE TO WORK WITH.

When I say I will not vote for Governor Haircut for president, I am deadly serious, and it's because he's not safe to work with.

My main "purity test" is "do I think you willl turn around and stab me? The answer had better be no.
Convert to office space? Maybe computer racks in the center with whatever other things that don't need sunlight?

Hey, so another piece of advice for people who are S-Corps: there is a company called Opolis that acts as your employer of record and will provide health insurance and other benefits.
If you're a writer/other creator in the United States, consider creating an LLC for your business and then signing up for a local area Chamber of Commerce. Many of them have health insurance plans that pool their members and members of other CoCs to create insurance efficiencies relative to ACA.

I don't usually do this but "Amal from Gaza" is pinging my spidey senses really hard, even before I blocked four of them in a half hour. I would be cautious.
mmm, not how I learned it. But the whack fol, etc. is the same.
I resent the airlines, not my fellow trapped humans.
I sent my Phileas to a cousin to sign her divorce papers.

So A) Yikes
B) Good job, Boeing for getting the front glass right
C) YIKES

And an aside: anyone have any idea what the obviously added emoji paperclips in the twitter images are supposed to mean?

Something from “space” may have just struck a United Airlines flight over Utah
“NTSB gathering radar, weather, flight recorder data.”…

Right? I actually think this is a good phrase to know!
High school French gave me:
- Calm yourself, Anne!
And
- Let us go to the pastry shop together!
