Reposting my Twitter thread about a specific scene in Osamu Tezuka’s "Ode to Kirihito," where he chooses to use realistic, detailed drawings of religious sculpture instead of portraying events literally. Art is flipped left/right from original Japanese work. Mild spoilers! 1/

CW: sexual violence
It is crazy, but also the original was an inimitable banger so

Here's a scary portrait I took of a seagull about to swallow a crab. 🫣 I post a new image from myself most days. If you like wildlife photography please consider giving me a follow! ☺️

It turns out that horseshoe theory is just not being a prick
Zohran Mamdani says on NY1 he didn't get a congratulatory call from either Andrew Cuomo or Eric Adams last night.

He says he got a congratulatory call from Curtis Sliwa, though.

Head in hands wondering how this could happen to me, the popular president who posted a video of myself shitting on everyone 2 weeks ago
I loved Edward Norton, the actor who protrayed Dr. Nova in the last five seconds of Alita: Battle Angel (2019) (This is legitimately the first thing I think of when his name comes up)
Pretty sure Silent Hill f is a masterpiece. One of the most engaging stories I've seen in a game. I love how the "twists" aren't some big surprising reveal, but things you gradually realize before the game confirms them. The game trusts you to figure things out.

One ending down, four to go
Its so worth brute forcing this and the pronunciation of individual kana early, it makes life much easier later

I saw Marge with Piccolo's cape and I couldn't stop my hands from moving.

The question is not whether you should say "Gen Zee" or "Gen Zed". The question is should you be using these pointless, inaccurate and reductive generation star signs in the first place.

My annual Halloween Castlevania upload: a deep-ish cut from SOTN (Nocturne - Symphony of the Night), a melancholy lullaby the fairy familiar sings when you sit in a chair. Vibed Record of Lodoss War intro so much I binged Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth shortly after (youtu.be/oVufgLlo-Nc?...)
Also I think "style over substance" is completely valid for a visual medium and BY GOD does this film deliver in style
I love Bram Stoker's Dracula. I've seen people accuse it of being "style over substance," but the whole film is about love cascading over the ages like a river of blood. Why not be emotionally charged to the brim? Why not be luscious in form? Its the treatment this particular film deserves.

Today's Oarfish comes from headslikekites on Tumblr! This also features the coelacanth! Did you know that the purpose of an oarfish is to act as a deep-sea filter feeder, consuming plankton, crustaceans, and squid? #underwater #sealife #marine #fish #Oarfishdaily #marinelife #drawing
Kim aside, the fact that you could google the answer to any of these questions aside, it's always astounding to me that the primary argument for moon landing deniers is that reality doesn't match what they see in science fiction film
"go to TikTok. See for yourself."

Male horror protagonist wear something other than jeans challenge
Difficulty: impossible
They finally realized millenials are 40 and instead of developing their worldview for fit reality they just moved the exact same articles to target gen Z instead
“At the same time, more than half of Gen Z members say they are struggling to make ends meet, yet a majority buy themselves a small treat, such as a pastry, coffee, or sweet, at least once a week. That can lead to overspending…”

I wish more people understood this tbh. I feel like shutting people out conpletely even if they apologize is a big part of why people get pushed into more extreme positions, because they have nothing left to gain from the rest of the group if they're totally stonewalled.
I feel like we're talking past each other because that's not remotely close to what I'm saying
