man writing #rustlang libraries is so stupid. i went through so much effort to carefully thread a needle about type juggling, realized that bottoming out in a trait meant none of my work could be const fn, and just ripped out most of it to become `unsafe { mem::transmute_copy(&src) } // lmao`

i don't really think he's capable of doing or maybe even knowing Moral Good or Moral Evil. he's just stuck doing mortal selfishness and then one day he'll die and that's kind of it.

i don't really know how i feel about thinking this. it's calmer than the alternatives i guess.

but trump is one of very very few people, maybe the only one i can name but i don't think he's like Singular out of 8 billion of us by any means, where he just ... doesn't have one of any kind that he uses for any direction. he is spiritually a dog to me. he's just flesh walkin around doing stuff.

i've been thinking about this a lot and i've wound up painting myself into a weird corner where like. i'm willing to believe many people have human souls they use for good and many people have human souls they use for evil and i think it's pithy to say some people have demon souls they use for evil,

there's nothing special about learning how to do murder. lots of people do that as a hobby or in private sector. what's special about being in the united states military isn't the weaponry. it's the camaraderie. they shouldn't get to hoard that and imagine themselves a special caste. they aren't.

i also unironically not-kidding believe in the power of uniformed services and formal rank structures as ways to shape social bonding and force people to acknowledge as peers and superiors other people that they otherwise would not.

it is time to put Basically Every Single Adult In Uniform. we do not need four hundred million people to all be direct uniformed employees of the federal government, but i unironically not-kidding believe that a massively overhauled and expanded federal works program will do wonders for us socially
