and like my employer in the trades still expects a 40 hour week! but not being at a desk (and all the distractions that come with a computer right there) helps and being physically active helps and having something tangible as evidence of what i did each day helps and and and…

finding that I didn’t mesh as well with the job as I’d hoped dreaming about it as a kid wasn’t the only reason or even the main reason i got out of engineering for a building trade

like yeah you'll run into trans guys at the local dyke bar. if people are pleasant to be around you might find them around people they do not wholly share identities with. queerness is an axis of social solidarity but the rule of "just be chill" still applies.
