Yet another milestone, in this case a year and a half since I started this Bronze Age fantasy project. Amazingly still going strong! Who knew that by painting one thing, then another thing ended with lots of painted things? Revelation! Almost all is available from @fenrisgames.com Next stop 2 years
Lots of painted fantasy miniatures mostly with Bronze Age armour and weapons, with a lot of animal folk mixed in. Slightly more down view. And even more top down Top down view of the same miniatures

in the endless parade of jobs for this one-man industry, shield packs have been in the queue forever. this set of 9 made in conjunction with @talismanisland.bsky.social look likely to be the first released!
set of 9 model shields of various styles and designs.
Day 1! My ever growing box of assorted shields is one of my favourite things. Loads of unique looks to mash up genre and historical styles.
Awesome. Glad he’s back home safely

no matter how much he practiced, Dan Doppelganger just couldn't get the look of Harriet Hag right. he'd nailed the pose, but there were bits of anatomy he just couldn't get the hang of...

two new Paul Muller models (ex of Otherworld) ready to go into the shop any time nowwww
two painted tabletop miniatures - on the left, a doppelganger (sinewy, mostly grey humanoid with exposed brain and feral eyes and mouth) and on the right, a wild fae hag in filthy rags gesticulating with a skull in her raised right hand.
Also, she’s deliberately pale as being a good little initiate, she spends most of her waking hours under the night sky. I might have gone a little too pale, maybe a light wash for a bit more definition on the face.
I wasn’t sure initially about the shield device. I was going to give it a few days and see if I still felt the same and paint over it, but I’ve come round to actually liking it a lot. Tied 1st with the star surrounded by laurel wreath.
Close up of an amazons shield showing a star surrounded by streaks of light, longer at the bottom, growing shorter towards the top of the star. Dark blue with grey and white.
All the vibes from me and my own blue eyed boy

the Fenris co-pilot's in for surgery again tomorrow, bless his heart, so doesn't currently understand why theres absolutely *nothing* for him to eat.

thoughts, prayers, ko-fi, orders via the shop all very much appreciated!
bat-eared husky-cross puppy in the meeting room at Battersea Dogs Home the day I met him nearly 11 years ago. he's sitting skew-legged on a white linoleum floor looking up at the camera with his bright blue eyes.

This unicorn would be reeeeeeeally pissed about being used as a pack animal!
Another Amazon. 6 (7 if you include the unicorn) feels like a good number for skirmishes. The last will be a priestess, who carries a representation of the cult Labyrs into battle.

The arms, the sword Amazon and unicorn rider are from @fenrisgames.com ,the body and spear amazons are Dragon Bait
5 Amazon warriors armed and armoured, wearing greys, dark blue and pale yellow. 2 have swords, 2 spears and the unicorn rider a long spear. All have shields with star heraldry. The unicorn is big and burly and has a rhino horn Amazon in Greek armour with sword and shield shown side on. Her helmet has a crest of blue and yellow. Same miniature from the front Side view showing shield with shooting star emblem.

more models from the same set. the intention is to have all of these as part of a joint KS with Forge of Ice/Fenris for the long-teased Hanging Gardens Rubble City set. iirc these are Bobby Jackson sculpts.
two more Temple Guard models, both bulky male warriors armed with spears. another two male Temple Guard models, both armed with swords. Temple archers, one male, one femme. resin models, with the man needing assistance and assembly. model of a temple priest with sacrificial knife, holding a non-human skull overhead in his left hand.
I’ve been rewatching The Mandalorian, which is fatal as I’m now trying NOT to buy up a whole armies worth. I will, however, dig up these charming critters and paint one after my amazons. Cutie with the blaster and Mando helmet probably. Available from @fenrisgames.com

doors as distraction from stonework
resin casting of a model double door with lizard bas-reliefs and stylised scrollwork. same model doors in situ in a stone block-built gatehouse.
I expect Scanners style head explosions in a certain segment of 40k fando.
Totally a female space marine! Ultramarine chapter. Bald head and service studs.
Awww yes, cave diving. I used to cave AND dive but never at the same time. Triggers my inner Gollum, wondering what secrets lie in the roots of the mountain. Lots of dead divers probably but that doesn’t stop me from wishing I’d done it!

Popped into Gwithti An Pystri in Falmouth for a great local art showing and saw this cabinet on the way out, great to see @fenrisgames.com stickers making the rounds.
A cabinet showing a collection of rpg miniatures from the 70s and 80s with text describing the revival of fantasy in the 70s. Also shows a caf sticker that displays love miniatures hate fascism. A cabinet showing the basic red dungeons and dragons book along with the original yellow tunnels and trolls rulebook, alongside some dice and a collection of miniatures from the 70s and 80s.
I should have painted its bum hole. It’s got a Barbie thing going on.
Me too! Had the unicorn rider as (loose) inspiration. A unicorn that will eff you up and has never frolicked in its life.
