Yeah, actually. At least in the 26 games he'd play in.
msjnba.bsky.social
Oooooh, I like the Knicks a fair bit less now. Not gonna lie.
msjnba.bsky.social
Wait, what?!
shamsbot.bsky.social
Just in: After nine NBA seasons, New York Knicks guard Malcolm Brogdon has decided to retire from basketball, he tells ESPN. Brogdon became the 2017 Rookie of the Year and 2023 Sixth Man of the Year after being drafted No. 36 in 2016.

So the Kings fully leaned into "You wanna get nuts? Let's get nuts!" territory, huh?
shamsbot.bsky.social
BREAKING: Nine-time NBA All-Star Russell Westbrook has agreed on a deal to sign with the Sacramento Kings, Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management tells ESPN. The 2017 league MVP enters his 18th NBA season.

Tea and fruit an hour before bedtime.

You're welcome.

Despite pushing 40, I'm still a child.

So for me, it's comic books.
maxjacoby.bsky.social
Without IG, FB & Twitter my screentime has dropped from 3h to 1h. I read more books again.
msjnba.bsky.social
Good mention. 2014 Spurs as well.

I will say the Wemby era is approaching that territory for me.

Here's a fun NBA question: not including past teams of the franchise you're a fan of, what was your favorite team to watch of all time?

For me, my favorite non-Timberwolves team to watch were the Adelman Kings. No team has ever had a prettier half court offense
msjnba.bsky.social
You're not wrong.

Monetization is fine, just not at the cost of the user experience, because that's ruining the product.

"Hello, I'd like to sell you these cookies. Oh, you like them? That's fantastic. We're changing the recipe next month. We're replacing the raisins with rat shit."
msjnba.bsky.social
Truly.

I worked 3,500 hours last season. That's more than double the annual workload in Denmark.

I firmly believe I spent 500-700 of those hours just on social media, engaging, keeping myself updated, clicking links, etc.

And yes, I include that in my work hours. Because it is work.
msjnba.bsky.social
Yup. They galaxy brained themselves out of a good product.
msjnba.bsky.social
Very boring. Can relate.

And people are just so extreme.

Gave the Raptors a middling grade at the trade deadline, and as soon as it was published, I had someone in the DMs saying I should lose my life.

It's just not worth the trouble sometimes.
msjnba.bsky.social
I should note I made one other adjustment. Cutting down white bread in general.

But it's amazing how much these small differences can make.
msjnba.bsky.social
It's interesting.

In the end, you can make a reasonable case that the billionaires broke it.
msjnba.bsky.social
I don't disagree with any of that. And I probably need to make more of an effort.

But goddamn, man. I'm enjoying actual real life a shit ton.
msjnba.bsky.social
Yup. And that's frustrating.

Then I remember I actually got to spend time with my son, and I'm like "oh, who cares?"
msjnba.bsky.social
I replaced my late night snacks with tomatoes and grapes a few months back.

I'm down 22 pounds.
msjnba.bsky.social
Same.

It's actually freed up considerable time.

The downside is that I miss some news here and there.
msjnba.bsky.social
This is an important inclusion.

I am not. Bluesky is definitely the best platform I've been on.

But I think Twitter & Meta broke me. It killed the joy of social media. Or at the very least made me a huge fucking skeptic.
btoporek.bsky.social
Are you getting that kind of negative stuff here?

For me, the experience between here and Twitter was night-and-day different. (Which is among the many reasons why I'm off Twitter entirely!)
msjnba.bsky.social
It's not untrue.

I think, for me, I've just flat out grown tired of social media.

I want the talk. I want the debate.

I don't want the death threats. I don't want the derogatory comments. I don't want the hate.

And until social media changes (which, lol) my interest is fading.
andytobo.bsky.social
I AM really struggling with how little NBA talk there is on here and I'm tired of pretending I'm not. Ratio me, it's a badge of honor.
msjnba.bsky.social
That's probably a better way of phrasing it, actually.
msjnba.bsky.social
I *think* that's where I land too. But because of the MVP, I was like "Nah" for a good while.
msjnba.bsky.social
Derek's post here reminded me of something.

About a month ago, I got a question from a listener, and initially I rejected the premise. But it's been playing in my head since.

Is Embiid a part of the "What If?" crowd? Like, with Grant Hill, Penny Hardaway, etc.?
derekbodner.bsky.social
Today at the Blue vs White scrimmage was the first time we got to see Joel Embiid playing in 5-on-5.

There's always a bunch of concern/discussion over whether Embiid's wearing a brace/sleeve on his knee and how big it is, so here's a couple of photos that show the knee.
msjnba.bsky.social
'till you're 90.
