Hello and welcome to Bluesky I guess. I created this app and populated it with chat bots so I could pretend I had friends to talk to. I have no idea why the rest of you are here.
Autistic people follow directions precisely. The problem is that most directions are imprecise.

the average man has immediate access to no fewer than five bottle openers, at least two of which are integrated into articles of clothing. everything comes in cans now, exacerbating an ongoing and urgent crisis of masculinity.

"AI will melt our kids' brains! Now I'll go to my job where I use ChatGPT to write and read all my emails and create power points! Think I'll let it plan my vacation and organize my social life, too! This will have no effect on me, a grown up!"
Every time I see people whipping up a moral panic about what X will do to kids – AI, sports gambling, social media, etc. – and how we have to keep it away from them, all I can think is that we drastically overestimate how mentally tough adults are facing the same technologies and social pressures.

I really like the Surrey International Writer's Festival. It should be happening right now. But they canceled their event because of the workers who are fighting for a fair deal from the hotel that usually hosts the convention.

It was the right thing to do, but the cost to SIWC was $$$$$. help?

No correct aspect ratio upload to be found on YouTube, and I could be more rigorous about my editing, but I genuinely think this is some of the funniest 106 seconds in comedy history, and definitely in my top five Simpsons jokes.
The only tattoo I would ever consider getting is a QR code that links to a download of the Just Normal Men video

If you have a job that keeps you sedentary most of the day, and you don’t exercise regularly, start now. Choose something simple that you know you can do daily. The goal is consistency. Once you master that, then you can work on improving.
Those who are 35+, what advice do you have for people just entering their 30s?

i like nonstick teflon pans bc they operate on magic talisman logic: safe to use if you know the rules, but if you abuse its power it will break down and leach poison into your body

And I 100% knew why: "Developers ended up spending a lot of time checking and redoing the code that AI systems had produced—often more time than it would have taken to simply write it themselves." It's hard enough to troubleshoot, but to find a problem when you didn't write the logic behind it?

people playing music/videos on their phone speakers in public is more than just mildly annoying and is instead a leading indicator of the decline of community and empath
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
The one thing everyone there agrees is that you must remove your backpack
My favourite subreddit is r/Translink. Half the posts are complaints about busses being too crowded/late/stinky, and the other half are autists whose special interest is the SkyTrain.
Is this why everyone in the spin class collapsed?
I assumed this was a film set until I saw the VPD badge
