Oh shit, it's 2025, so time for a new one-post review thread of every game I play this year! I use an x/10 ranking because it helps convey general sentiment with limited characters. 10 is Maximum Finn Shit, 5 is OK, 1 Super Bad.

I just noticed that Jimmy And The Pulsating Mass - one of the best indie JRPGs I've ever played - is JUST shy of 500 reviews and the Overwhelmingly Positive rating.

We should make that happen. One of the best Earthbound-inspired games I've played while having its own, very strong identity.

"Child says something socially inappropriate but hilarious and you're not allowed to laugh" is a universal parental experience, but must be particularly heartbreaking for a comedian. Like, imagine Michael Phelps's kids swam in a way that would get them told off by daycare staff.

It turns out when you combine all the best gameplay ideas accumulated in the genre of turn-based RPGs and pair it with a gorgeous, heart-breaking story you will end up with a masterpiece.

Cyrptmaster

A fun word puzzler and a sometimes enjoyable dungeon crawler. Carried by its gorgeous art and, it should go without saying the voice acting. Wish it didn't run out of steam in the final act.
