5/5 star review. "This show is (...very loosely) based on real people. The Gentleman Pirate, Stede Bonnet, known associate of the infamous Blackbeard, Ed Teach. What exactly is a "gentleman pirate" you ask? Well, exactly what it sounds like. A captain that says please and thank you, much to his rag tag crew's dismay. Perhaps his encounters with Blackbeard will change him into a ruthless scoundrel of the sea....or maybe...well you'll just have to watch to find out!! It's well worth it if you like:

-laughing
-adventures
-lgbtq representation (the nice kind)
-revenge and betrayal
-action and sword fighting (!!!)
-romance? you'll be up to your eyes in it!
-a stellar, diverse cast with some amazing guest stars
