Uncle Autocorrect is a malevolent entity lurking in the depths of cyberspace, emerging only to wreak havoc on the forces of coherence and eloquence everywhere.
Its destructiveness is directly proportional to the importance of the communication and potential for humiliation.

Probably the closest thing that came to terrorism was a woman in Myrtle Beach who drove past protesters brandishing a gun.

Here is the terrorist being arrested. You absolutely cannot make this shit up.

That's Canadian cultural appropriation!

Robert gets surprisingly reliable advice by listening to his own tail.
👆from my rellie from
Montreal.
“Vladdy, our Montreal-born Expos baby, grew up to become the heart and soul of the Toronto #BlueJays. He’s going to be known as the greatest Canadian baseball player some day…But I love him because he keeps something of our one-of-a-kind Expos team alive. It’s so great to see him shine right now.❤️⚾️”

As we discussed
the efficacy of marches
the old punk told me
not to overlook
the importance
of setting an example:
by standing up,
by speaking out,
you are showing others
that they can do the same,
which, the old punk added,
is also a good reason
to keep wearing a mask.
A. That’s awful.
B. It always seems to be the embattled CBC that breaks stories that ordinary people should care about.

I went out to put something in the car at the bottom of the eighth.
I came back and…😥😥😥😭

Oh #BlueJays 💔
So Friday night buried in the news that surfs between international meetings, cease fires, stopping wars, and the first few of the predicted show trials, a tiny splash:
The sentence of George Santos has been commuted.
A message to loyalists everywhere.
That 6 year-old corm needed a 6” pot to squeeze into for starting it this spring. I’ve never seen one get that big (3’<->). Next year it’s going to need some interesting scaffolding to hold up the stems. Those are heavy!
Jealous of the BC person who had the first killing frost.
I can’t take in the begonias to snap off the dried stems and bag them in the garage for winter without a killing frost to drive the nutrients down into the corms. I hate doing that in November with cold red hands and a winter jacket.

My Beloveds are all from the shelter or straight off the street. They all deserved their second chance.
Can't believe how often I run into the misconception that shelter animals are all broken, deficient, or ruined in some way. The overwhelming majority of shelter animals end up there because of human circumstances, NOT because they did anything wrong.

The insulin patent was sold by Frederick Banting for $1.

The Canadian who discovered insulin everyone to be able to access life saving medication.

In the US it’s financially out of reach for many people.

California is changing that.

I hope other states follow suit.
It costs ~$70 to produce a year’s supply of insulin.

Yet, the average annual cost of insulin went from $2,864 in 2012 to $5,705 in 2016 to $18,000 in 2025. A 25,714% markup. That isn’t inflation or supply chain—It’s corporate greed.

Now—California will sell insulin for $11. Make this nationwide!
Looking at the waves of farm bankruptcies and firings, I suspect mass bad loans coming due soon.
US banks are thriving, but wasn’t this one cause of the 2008 crash?
“Morgan Stanley on Wednesday reported third-quarter revenue of $18.2 billion — a record for the bank — and made the bullish decision to slash its reserve for losses on bad loans to $0, down from $79 million a year ago.”
Oh, children don’t have to love their parents, I agree. And there are bad parents out there, too.
But I still believe unless there is mental illness that a mother loves the child she gave birth to in a primal way.
(Of course maybe your particular mother wasn’t just a bad person but crazy too)
