A3: Once you've defined your goal, identify where the audience is. Be in those places, talking to those people, and being sure that your effort is spent in the places it'll have the highest impact. Building a rep might = LinkedIn/Bluesky but selling to authors might = FB groups 2/2 #ACESChat

I found ACES back in 2016 when I attended a different org's conference. I've been a member since, gone to five or six in-person conferences, and joined the board just over a year ago. I'm so glad you found us and that you have gotten into editing as a career.

I can't say I read it as much as you do, but when I first saw it here I definitely thought, "Can you wear a baseball cap to Oval Office Friday?" Like it's casual Friday but for the Oval Office. So yeah, keep adding the "on."

Cheers to Sandi Rusch on "Charms & Chapters," the sequel she never planned to write. Working on this meant a lot to me because she was gently given to me after her previous editor, our beloved mutual friend @NikkiBusch, passed away. I loved helping Sandi make it “a better book,” as she said.

Ok, that Pun Slam was perhaps the best yet. I caught myself literally hooting out loud at some of the amazing puns. And I made a great choice to watch (but mostly listen) to the AP Style session while working on a jigsaw puzzle in my basement. Got my eyes off the screen a bit. #ACESVCON25
