Starting at $250.
Compliments from girls always hits better.
When a woman compliments another woman, she knows exactly what she's looking at and how much work went into it.

Not, "hey, you're beautiful! DM me back! Why are you ignoring me? ...wyd? Where are you beautiful? Fine! you're fat anyways!!"

😭😭

I really wish more people understood that food assistance programs, both at home and as overseas food aid, are agricultural subsidy as much as (more than?) they are charity.
The birth of SNAP started as a "kill two birds with one stone" situation. The food producers needed annual bailout due to trade instability, and the impoverished are hungry.

This is an excellent thread, with several good points you can share with your friends/relatives/acquaintances who are in the "let them starve" camp. Since empathy won't work for some people, maybe selfishness & self-interest will.
Okay,
SNAP isn't technically a welfare program. It is a USDA program.
Specifically, a subsidy program. Not for the hungry but for the farmers, food producers, and processors.

Explain:
BTW, we all know "technically right " is the best sorta right.

I've decided that loving baseball is a form of self-harm for me.

Why do I do this to myself?

Why am I a 3rd generation Red Sox fan?
Why do I carry the generational trauma of that damn team?
SNAP benefits everyone!
So... can we AT LEAST be selfish if we can't be empathetic.

Don't shơot yourself in the face because the idea of a poor person buying cookies upsets you.
(BTW, our farmers love that SNAP recipients buy cookies from companies that buy their farmed products.)
I would rather pay the whomping $36 a year in taxes so people can buy food; even junk food; than paying $1000s extra at the grocer a year and no one benefit, especially not me.
RAISE PRICES!! They just lost 12% of their revenue.

So if this gets drawn out much longer, the average America is about to pay 12% or more extra at the check-out.

So, if you don't want your dollars being wasted to feed ingrates, you are about to be spending MORE to not feed them.
Basically, with SNAP, a HUGE amount of food gets processed into the supply chain instead of rotting.

This also means the grocer makes money. And they've been used to making this money.

About 12% of all grocery sales are through SNAP. Without SNAP, what do you think the shops are going to do?
In the past, the government would just buy up the food.

EI: the "government cheese" phenomenon.

But, there was a way to feed people, supplement the food producer industry, and less food rots in the field. ... SNAP!!!!

Some of y'all's mothers need to have a word with me.
My dog will bring me kibble when she eats. Especially if I've already let her have a taste of my dinner. She retrieves dead animals and brings them to me.

My dog understands reciprocation and sharing better than most humans these days.
He won't give you a meeting likely, but maybe filling his office requests to meet privately with his constituency might get dome attention.

Send him a private meeting request letter here, Florida:

I made a formal request through Rick Scott's office for a meeting with him. That's my right as encoded in State Law. And it is his right to deny meetings with whomever he wants.

So, likelihood I will actually have my request met? .00002%
You know what tomorrow is!!

The last day of the month.

My mortgage is due soon.

I'll be spending today chasing down people who owe me money... a lot of money.
The brothers like to flirt with lone women... creepy yet cute all at once.

Some joke about me being like an ape/living like an ape is in my brain, I just can't put it together.
It is cool out finally here in Florida. Perhaps it is time to head down to the zoo with a sketch pad midday and sit with the gorillas.

It is my favorite thing to do; go during a weekday when no one is there. Sit and chill with the gorillas. If there is a baby, a female will come and show you.

All I want is affordable eggs and the Epstein Files.

Like millions of other boring, middle-aged housewives.
