Getting old enough to occasionally forget how old I am. Probably censored for using angry words because I’m angry. Don’t blame me, I voted for the woke woman of color.

AS39029 is all fine and good until you get tired of typing the same thing over and over, start looking for patterns, and then decide to open up AS29606.

I would be shocked if suddenly the GOP comes to its senses and we see more opposition to the totalitarian crowd. But I am encouraged to see Massie standing up - I guess his record for objections goes deeper than I original thought. Could it spread?
mjthompson.bsky.social
Well come on, Massie - join the Democrats on EVERYTHING and let’s get this government back on track… if you want t be a hero or something.

Don’t just go for the feel-good stuff; be a part of the correct side. Otherwise, it’s just a re-election campaign.

Even if Jesus were to do it, it’d be more “slosh slosh” than “boom boom”

Trump: "Literally, you walk over from Iran to Qatar. You can walk it in one second. You go, boom, boom, and now you're in Qatar."

Qatar and Iran do not share a land border.

Yup. We can always assume the worst with these people, and they always manage to exceed our expectations.
mjthompson.bsky.social
I do… at least when it comes to reading two articles.

I know Fluke ain’t what it used to be, and that between my Techtronix DFO and my Keithley 9v benchtop DMM I don’t REALLY need yet another device, but for this price I shouldn’t have any issues testing stuff out on the car.
Photo of a very dusty Fluke 107 Digital MultiMeter (DMM) in new packaging.

Note: unlike an industrial-grade Fluke DMM, this has a yellow chassis, not a yellow TPU case to wrap around a grey chassis. Its accompanying price tag showing a 75% discount from a ridiculously overpriced $160.

Every one ought to be towed away without question.

We would have also accepted “Bangs head on the lid” as a response

So the question is, WHY are we building a Qatari Emeri Air Force "Facility" on a U.S. Air Force base? And by the way, why are they so keen on insisting that it's "not an Qatari Air Force base" without answering the question?

Why would the Qataris need any sort of facility whatsoever? Why do we need Qatari F-15s ON US SOIL at all? We sold them those damn things, they don’t need to bring them back to show us- we can go over there for this so-called “sharing of information” or “training.”

Vance is giving the air of dismissal - what he is dismissing is the suggestion there is going to be a Qatari base. But in this clip he is avoiding the question: “What is this Qatari Air Force facility?”

They aren’t denying it is happening. They are denying that it is a Qatari base. SO WHAT IS IT???

How is AI going to get smarter if it bases itself on inputs from people who are becoming increasingly lazy thanks to AI? It's a perpetuating cycle of laziness.
mjthompson.bsky.social
Google used to be pretty good at actually finding things inside documents when the wording was too arbitrary for basic search terms. Now it seems that AI has dumbed it down to the level of laziness that other researchers have themselves stooped to.
mjthompson.bsky.social
I tried using good old Google Search to find a public domain specification for a piece of hardware, and it INSISTED that there was no specification. It seemed that the actual search results reflected. There was no actual search. Eventually I found it in the document I was looking for.

“I spent three nights and three days in federal custody. During that time, I was never told what I was charged with, was not allowed to shower despite being covered in tear gas and pepper spray, had no phone call to my family, and no access to an attorney.” - George Retes, U.S. citizen and veteran.
I’m a US citizen and a veteran. ICE arrested me for no reason.
Jailed for three days without an explanation or ability to notify anyone, George Retes argues the only path to healing starts with the government taking accountability for its actions.

Doing stand up now or attending a show, I feel like people have to swim through a sea of dick jokes and homophobia just to get to the comic that is different and great.

I, at least, like to be a breath of fresh air in there somewhere.
ashleylynch.bsky.social
You know what's wonderful?

Every time I see a new Netflix comedy special drop not knowing if it's someone who's going to be funny or someone who is just going rant for 70min about how your existence has forced them to be a hateful bigot.

I just don't watch standup comedy anymore. Too exhausting.

If the FBI had a bias problem, Trump didn’t do anything about it for four years.

To call it “Biden’s FBI” merely suggests he had some kind of direct power to influence the agency. The vice president does not. That kind of power is reserved for the President, who was… Obama… FOUR YEARS before Trump.

Donald Trump was president on January 6
mjthompson.bsky.social
As so may “Republican” trolls like to say,

“You had four years to fix the problem, why didn’t you do anything about it?”

To call it “Biden’s FBI” is to suggest Trump was too incompetent to fix the perceived problem.
