They worked hard to afford to send ppl to dc to talk to him har an appointment. They waited and waited. Finally he came out of his office. They stood up to address him and he turned to them, visibly annoyed and just said “I’m running for reelection in Vermont. What do you want from me” then left

Literally my first political action was trying to stop the deal he brokered for the NE to truck their nuclear waste down south and dump it on a fault zone close to our main water supply, in a small Latino community with an 8k/year median income.

There's a double frustration in this discourse, which is that the people saying "big tent" actually have a tent only slightly larger and sleeker than the beautiful patchwork one me and my anarcho trans homies made. They have to just openly say "not you" cuz their tent isn't big, it's just expensive.

The ACA was gutted by Democrats. you can argue those key democrats could've been siding with what many see as the more liberal/patient centered options. or you could say it was unfortunate that Dems didnt have 60+ more liberal senators.

That’s partly why there are seemingly infinite slurs in Italian (obviously also the racism but also this) every region came up with their own slurs for the same thing so your modern Italian has so many choices lolsob.
The more fun side of this phenomenon is the non slur insults and curses.

My point is: there was no one weird trick. The commercials were not the silver bullet. Perot wasn’t such a spoiler as to throw it to him absent other factors.
I also remember that election well. “Not so” followed by “actually it was all this one good commercial” is a hell of a definitive statement.
