The teeny tiny No Kings things in very red areas are so huge

Say like five or six people show up. None of them knew each other before. Suddenly they’re all friends. And maybe from that you get a group that does longer-term organizing that can punch *way* above its weight considering where it is
Thank god that government agency has access to Grok

Since it seems to have no intelligence resources of its own

Or ability to understand irony

And too much time on its hands

Al Gore didn’t hold back: The Trump admin is “attacking the heart of truth,” twisting facts like the Nazis did in the 1930s. From climate denial to rewriting the Ukraine war, it’s all about power—not reality.
Gore warned the U.S. is under siege—and every former leader should speak out like he did.

Trump's mechanism to pay the troops during the shutdown is by far the most illegal budgetary action he's taken as POTUS, potentially setting the stage to break everything.

It's also needless because Congress would easily pass a troop pay bill if Johnson were willing to gavel in.

Long thread.
My eyebrows kept raising in perverse delight at this dumbfuckery until

Except on January 6, 2021, when 80 Capitol Police officers were assaulted.

Except on January 20, 2025, when Donald Trump unconditionally pardoned the assailants who struck Capitol Police officers with dangerous objects — including a fire extinguisher.
Burr’s remarks justifying Riyadh were eye-opening! In that I was like, “Wow, I thought he was supposed to be smart and well-informed!” But now my eyes are open to the realization he’s an idiot.

Indiana University has fired the staff director of the student newspaper, after disputes in which university leadership tried to pressure him to prevent students from publishing news.
Or is it possible that words have no meaning
Even if this were even slightly true-ish, MS-13, according to Britannica, is an "international gang involved in drug and human smuggling, prostitution, murder, and extortion, among other illegal activities." So when Bondi says that Antifa is "no different," is she saying that of Antifa?
