I think it’s actually just the nostalgia factor. The original Tron gained a cult following years after it flopped in theaters, as did Tron Legacy. Disney tries to cash in on that nostalgia, but it just seems audiences don’t care for Tron in the moment as much as they do when they remember it later.

Bioshock Infinite had a DLC that defied the core concept of its ending.

The second part of that DLC then doubled down on the stupidity by suggesting that Elizabeth was somehow the core cause of 90% of the events of Bioshock 1, while also retconning Bioshock 2 out of existence.

I checked, it is real, it is thousands of words long, and the only mention of trans people is two times when they mention that some cis women take dosage levels comparable to what trans men do
