If I ever win the lottery, I'm gonna fully fund SO MANY aid requests on here.

As it is, I'm unemployed and going back to school full time for a career that is absolutely not gonna make me wealthy, so all of you whose content i enjoy… I'm sorry I can't do more.
@tallgirlpetunia.bsky.social has been doing a really wonderful podcast series via @toughpigs.com: "A Prairie Dawn Companion, applying a feminist lens to the history of Sesame Street".
The #WPBL (Women's Pro #Baseball League) announced that the four teams participating in the inaugural season in 2026 will be based in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

I'll do my best not to allow my distaste for the men's teams from 3 of those to influence my enjoyment. 😂⚾

HVAC at home developed a leak. All the coolant staged a prison break.

Bad news: It'll be almost $1,800 to fix (parts are under warranty, so that's just labor & coolant).

Good news: It's not super hot outside, at least.

Annoying news: Tech was pushing for a new unit. This one's only 7 years old.
Continued Observations at [Enormous Public State] University:

I've seen at least a dozen other students wearing Nirvana shirts just today.

Considering most of them were likely born around/after 2000, I wonder how much this is influence by parents, marketing, finding the band organically-ish, etc.

Alt: A close up of a performer with a microphone. She's wearing a black jacket and underneath is a black shirt with the classic yellow Nirvana wordmark and smiley face.

The first entry in Don Hertzfeldt's 'World of Tomorrow' series explicitly addresses this.

Bonus: It's also one of my favorite short films ever.

"Too burned out to travel? Now you can also be depressed about a computer having more fun, and anxious about how well it's presenting to your friends and family the fictionalized version of you it made up!"
Technically correct. He's not in 'Spider-Man' (2002).
Mine licks the top of the end table for no discernible reason, so… 🤷🏼‍♂️
No way this could POSSIBLY go wrong.

😑
Starbucks using a cover of Sylvester's "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" in a commercial just feels so wrong.
For someone in his position, it's amazing how much he HASN'T seen.

🙄
I really wish the Brewers could have come out of that first set at least 1-1 but...

Snell and Yamamoto just put on absolute clinics. So fun to watch.
Fun fact: I once auditioned to play Winthrop Paroo in a local production of 'The Music Man'.

I wasn't chosen, but my father landed a part as one of the school board members (AKA, the barbershop quartet).
That's not unhinged; it's factual.
I met former Major League outfielder Rocky Colavito once.

We sat at the same table before a Rays game. I was filling out my scorecard. He was eating a hot dog.
I met former major league pitcher Andy Ashby once
Outwardly, at least 😂
But what about ♐? 🤔
