This was not a victory lap.

I’m just pointing out that things turned quickly for them these last couple days. In fact, I even said that the Mariners could still collapse.

But either way, I don’t appreciate being told what my mindset should be. I’ll view this how I want to am you can do the same.

On the flip side, we thought the Blue Jays seemed unstoppable after the ALDS.

Baseball is weird. Playoffs are weirder. Maybe the Dodgers will dominate. Maybe they’ll cool off. Maybe the Mariners will do one of those things. Who knows.

This Dodgers team seems unstoppable. I'm going to do my best to enjoy the rest of the ALCS and live in the moment. But the Dodgers will be waiting and I'm afraid that it's not gonna be pretty for the Mariners.

Not a normal October activity! But I love it. We’ve made a lot of jokes about how we’d handle the stress of a deep playoff run, but now that it’s actually here I am having an absolute blast. I don’t want this to ever end!!

Normally by now I’m not thinking about them at all! I might be paying attention to the playoffs, but it’s not the same. But now I’m 100% consumed by the Mariners, even more than in 2022 because we have a real chance this time.

I haven’t really felt like it’s very autumn-ish yet, and it really doesn’t feel like it’s mid October.

I’m realizing it’s partly because I am not used to expending so much of my time and energy on the Seattle Mariners in October.

I was debating about using AI with a coworker. She said “well it’s good for some things” and then listed a whole bunch of stuff you can easily find just by a regular google search.

I pointed that out and she said “ well, but Google just isn’t as good” and the couldn’t answer when I asked how so

the last time I went into the office (my job is 100% in-office):

- the ALDS hadn’t even started yet
- I was 33 years old (I am 34)
- I wasn’t sunburnt from Florida
- the leaves were still green, now they are at least like 50% fall colored
