yeah literally, like the ao3 system is amazing bc you can tag what you want and nothing is mandatory, and you can abide by like......... general manners and politeness...idk it reminds me of when people started using tw and cw on Tumblr but then started policing others, it was intolerable haha 💀

lots of people have irl fixed dynamics, so it's not that strange that people feel the same way in fiction.. like someone who is a stone cold top isn't going to be open to bottoming and they will be upfront about it and it can be a dealbreaker. people shouldn't attack others over it though...

the main issue is when people tag incorrectly or tag both in the jp style (eg. both dohifu and hifudo) for more reach, when like, if you're trying to tag for switch there is a way to actually tag that (dohifudo) instead of pissing off both parties, but that involves being familiar w the system

i mean i wouldn't pay attention to twt discourse, you can tag what you like... in english-speaking fandom there aren't as strict rules as in jp fandom so ppl like me who prefer a fixed ship dynamic just don't read stuff that isn't tagged for that dynamic. honestly sounds like antis acting up...
