I was kinda sad we had to lose Togashi's Deranged Glitch Hallucinations of Komiya (but glad they made one reference to it at least), so I need everyone to know that in the manga young Togashi goes around having nightmares about Komiya and hallucinating him in times of stress

thinking about Togashi 100M and the time he (as a grown adult) tried to give little kids advice, unconsciously started crying over what a mess his own life was, and then terrified the kids by having a full-blown sobbing meltdown on the playground. truly another freak son

yay!! I think either order works as long as your expectations are sufficiently set (people on tumblr going from movie => book have been very shocked because they were expecting the tone to be much more similar) so definitely just go with whatever you feel like. have fun whenever you do! 🫡

the movie has them being much sweeter nicer people (which inevitably loses a lot of the bite) but also they gaze very tenderly at each other a lot and I am not immune. basically book if you're in the mood for frenetic unpleasant horniness and movie if you're in the mood for more Romance
