I've realised I miss the Nero Wolfe brand of cozy mystery where it IS cozy and everything is by and large okay in the end but the detective at the heart of it is an implacable dyed-in-the-wool vindictive bastard who WILL tell you "your belief system is bullshit and you should kill yourself about it"

I have my issues with the TLW fandom post-movie explosion, but it actually feels so surreal that one of my teenage book yaoi rarepairs is now A Thing on this scale. I could go on Tumblr and yell MCVRIES AND GARRATY WANTED TO FUCK AND THEY SHOULD HAVE!!!!! and thousands of people would all agree
