And there isn’t any room for this to be commentary on black people being the backbone of American society or anything.

Evelyn’s character in Annabelle is quite literally just inserted with little backstory just to be a sacrifice. Very hollow.

Eric and I are watching all the movies from The Conjuring universe…and Annabelle is just a horrible movie.

A black woman sacrifices herself for a white family…and they just move on from it so quickly? It was very jarring.
