Many of these performers, like Andrew Durand, Kevin Del Aguila, & Lilli Cooper, will be in hyped-up off-Broadway productions soon. Jeremy Jordan will be back as THE GREAT GATSBY just as Darren Criss will be Oliver again in MAYBE HAPPY ENDING. James Monroe Iglehart is in & JULIET now.

Before #HazbinHotel season 2 premieres, I wrote a New York Theatre Guide guide on the on the stage/musical careers of the voice actors--and the references attached to them.

The filed draft worked in other creds, including HELLUVA BOSS, but had to be trimmed out.

I *think* there's a link between the protest against the New York Theatre Workshop to declare ceasefire (NYTW responded quite badly) for Gaza and then the NYTW deciding to stage this Arab-centric musical, one of the cast members/characters being Palestinian and wearing a keffiyeh onstage.

The album of the off-Broadway musical #WeLiveInCairo is up. I saw the musical last year and it's a frank portrait about young Egyptian activists, Coptic Christians and Muslim, in their solidarity and infighting when the hegemony is shapeshifting.

When "Summary Boxes" (like the gen AI ones in inboxes) popped up on publications and then my reviews & features, I started writing my own Summary Boxes at the bottom of the Google Doc draft, along with embargo time & press photo links, for my editor. Then I'll see how it compares upon publication.

Experiment: I have been sighting "summary boxes" on news outlets like the Generative AI ones in my inbox, and then this outlet I write for. Starting with this theatre review, I drafted my own summary box at the bottom of the doc for my editor. Then I would see how it ends up in the final product.

I once fretted that #Centaurworld on Netflix didn't acquire Theatre Twitter chatter as much as, say, THE GILDED AGE, despite having a bevy of singing Broadway stars. So I think it's a net gain that Broadway fans express affection for something like #HazbinHotel.
