Is this the afterlife?
I just have these hunger pangs constantly at theatres, even after eating. I might have a deficiency in something.

I also bought myself a nice $4 Intermission dark chocolate bar at the theatre to chomp down pre-show and intermission.

"Yeah, when I see a jellybean, I'm going to get PTSD flashbacks to this play."

I really glad that HAMNET kept the part where Anne Hathaway and William Shakespeare dueted "I Want It That Way" as a marital quarrel.

The raised-Buddhist in me was thrilled to interview Maaz Ali, the English voice of Buddha in the #RecordOfRagnarok anime (season 3 on Netflix). He talked about unlocking the punk rock Buddha within himself, the customs officer who recognized him, & the Zen of a "Gen Z-ish" Buddha.

The actor shares his wisdom on voicing an angsty adolescent Buddha, and that time a custom agent recognized his voice.

I came late to this HAMNET showtime… lucky ads were still playing 20 minutes in. Situationally, I’m lucky.

It was my first time in the Alice Tully Hall when I watched FIRST REFORMED at NYFF. Probably my first experience with a truly reactive crowd.

I also remember HEREDITARY and this woman shrieked out a high-pitched scream when a "scare" didn't even land yet, so the audience chuckled at her.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

For those in NYC, I got a spare ticket to the off-Broadway play MESSY WHITE GAYS at 3:00PM matinee if anyone wants to join me for FREE on a short notice. It's located in Times Square right at 42nd, Duke theatre.

Personal Indoor Seatmate Rule. I don't expect high demand for it, so claim away.

I guess this is a safe time for me to say, if you do the math, Rian Johnson is going to convince Andrew Lloyd Webber to cameo in the next #KnivesOut.

I didn't know until today that the BONNIE AND CLYDE: THE MUSICAL proshot (w/ Jeremy Jordan & Frances Mayli McCann) has landed on the MarqueeTV streaming platform now.

I really wish I didn't miss out on Bi Gan's RESURRECTION at NYFF. But that day of press screening, my body was in dire need of rest.

Probably the first piece of art I saw where the "poisoning" of an Asian's guy coffee with dairy is a gag point.

I also haven’t seen the movie adaptation of the play #MarjoriePrime. But I have seen June Squibb, Cynthia Nixon, and Danny Burstein before.

Like this is just downright awful. ( My views are my own and do not come from my employer in any way) ( Unfortunately) But I think everyone in animation should be appalled and disgusted by this , hell anyone in entertainment. This is a slope down the hill of using AI to make everything and cut us .

My life probably would have been different if hospitals had a policy for screening fathers for Hepatitis B. With the vaccine disinformation (thanks RFK Jr.), it's focused on "oh, does the mother have it?" Well, it was my father that was infected all this time. He was the walking transmitter.

I'm still processing all this. How young he was and how his health just spiraled before this into a brain aneurysm and pneumonia and then a collapsed lung.

I was sitting through a play and the bodily pain that bothered me the most was the strain in my legs, from last night's ballet, and not the scarred incision in my right armpit. The incision area still has random aches, but post-workout leg pain superseded that. A sign of post-op healing?

At Harlem, a stranger, way older/taller than me, screeched at me, "YO GET BEHIND ME. YOU GET THE FUCK BEHIND ME," because I nearly accidentally walked in front when I was trying to maneuver behind him.
There was no reason for that enraged tone. It was obvious he was inflicting power.
