The old paradigm: poorer countries must buy oil & gas from rich petrostates. Once they burn the oil & gas, they must buy more, with the supplier setting the prices. It's exhausting.

The new paradigm: poorer countries buy solar panels. And that's it. They own that energy. It's inexhaustible.
