IMO, Doug Mahnke is one of the premier comic artists of the last 25 years. Top of the top of the top.

This depiction of Jesus from the cover of a Bible in 870 is kind of how I imagine him when he sees all the garbage being
done in his name.
Christ, giving you the ‘what the fuck are you doing in my name’ look.

we found that most protein powders and shakes have more lead in one serving than our experts say is safe to have in a day (🧵)

These are mostly indigenous communities in Alaska that have been slammed by the storm.

The local manager of a small airline fleet says he is the only one doing evacuations right now!

Defund FEMA and people are abandoned. Defund public media and no-one knows.

FYI, today is Indigenous Peoples Day.
Homes flooded in Kipnuk Flooding seen with water up to the crash barriers of local roads Sheds and debris lie scattered in the storm A small blue house has been blown onto its roof

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day 2025, The National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition honors and celebrates Indigenous Peoples, all of whom are still here despite policies like Indian boarding schools that were designed to erase us.

I have an older iPad, and I dropped it recently. Apple told me it was too old to fix, so I took it to the local 'fix-it' guy, who installed an aftermarket screen.

I think the screen is better and I can continue to use it for school.

Personally, what a stupid practice to refuse to fix it.

"As the apocalypse approaches, readers abandon superhero comics for pirate comics, particularly a series entitled Tales of the Black Freighter."

Like, he doesn't even seem to understand that this takes place in an alternate universe.

But, yeah, I've taken a look at the essay, and I would love for someone to pull this apart. After a brief scan, some of the arguments he's giving seem pretty weak.
