The past few years I started to finally deal with the trauma I experienced as a child from my parents & then as a minor being groomed, sexually assaulted & then stalked by a female adult. No adults helped me with the latter. Last year I started planning a graphic memoir. Here are thumbnail sketches.

Trump is a war-monger wannabe king.

He is dragging Americans to a war with Venezuela based on lies and without Congress' approval. It is a tactic straight from the authoritarian playbook.

Religion in a democratic society ought to primarily be a private affair. Why is he talking about this in public? It's totally inappropriate. The public should not be subjected to the Vice President's private religious views about the religion of his wife or her future damnation as a non-Catholic.
Look, he found a way to make it worse.

#BREAKING The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sides against U.S. District Judge Sara Ellis, who had asked Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino to appear in her Chicago courtroom on a daily basis.

The appeals court finds that her order "infringes on the separation of powers."

District Judge Robert Gettleman's order is in. It compels the govt to return the named plaintiffs, in a new federal lawsuit alleging inhumane conditions at the Broadview, IL ICE facility, to the northern IL court district by Monday at 4 pm. (plaintiffs' attys said today they'd been moved to Kansas)

Here’s a disturbing video from Evanston of a federal agent hitting a man on the ground as people yell that he can’t breathe.

The 7th Circuit says Judge Sara Ellis put herself "in the position of an inquisitor rather than that of a neutral adjudicator."

And, the meetings with Greg Bovino "sets the court up as a supervisor of Chief Bovino's activities."

LA Taco asked Homeland Security if federal agents were wearing horror masks on their immigration raids.

A DHS spokeswoman responded, 'Happy Halloween!'

"They have fun while doing it, which is deeply disturbing. We expect some level of decorum from government officials."

Others have already spoken to this, but a major element of Midway Blitz is the admin signaling that nothing and nowhere is sacred. Holidays, graveyards, school campuses, churches, homes.

Nothing is off limits to the roving bands of masked, heavily armed strangers who say they're here to save us.

District Judge Robert Gettleman addressing that as he understands, the case's plaintiffs have been moved out of the Broadview facility.

"the plaintiffs were moved this morning, at approximately 7:21 this morning," the govt's attorney Joshua Press confirms.

Gettleman says, because of another trial, the first day he can schedule another hearing in this case is Tuesday.

"I will devote all of Tuesday to this case. But I expect on Tuesday the government will have answers to some of the questions" that have been raised in this case, Gettleman says.

"I'm not happy about even having to wait, to be honest, but it is Friday afternoon," Gettleman says.

"I'm gonna set this for Tuesday, in person, in my courtroom. 9:30 on Tuesday," the judge says.

On the occasion of Halloween, @newrepublic.com asked me to write about what’s going on in Chicago and I wanted you all to know what randomized terror feels like. And also that as the federal government fails our kids, everyday Chicagoans are showing the courage of trying to protect them.

Fear and a whiff of tear gas hang over festivities this year. In response, even people who aren’t usually politically engaged are mobilizing.

“Asymptomatic human avian influenza A(H5N1) infections occur, and person-to-person transmission is likely in some settings”

HOLY 💩!! IT’S HAPPENING. H5N1 has crossed over to human-to-human transmission, what the experts warned about if we didn’t control it. Avian Flu pandemic with no one masking: 😱
😬 "believed to have been infected through human-to-human spread"...

Meanwhile our homicidally negligent public health and infection control leaders are still lying to the public about the need for proper protections against aerosol transmission, to cover up their last lethal "very big mistake".

Plaintiffs in the lawsuit before Judge Sara Ellis in Chicago have filed their response to the 7th Circuit, over whether Border Patrol Cmdr. Greg Bovino should have to appear in court daily.

They note, as Ellis did, that "Bovino himself has stated publicly" that it "poses no obstacle to his work."
