It’s stupid. It’s dangerous. It’s got parent groups in a panic.

…and it’s the COOLEST thing ever.

My First Dungeon is proud to present...

SLUGBLASTER!

Sponsored by @mythworks.bsky.social

Premiering late March 2025. Stay tuned for cast announcements and more!

I asked @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social because of how D20 (notably D&DQ) has worked as intro to D&D.

@itsquinns.bsky.social PTFO is actively trying to dramatize the joy (& humor) of learning old systems.

There’s lots of other folks who could/should/will be interlocutors as well: a symposium-full!

(And that’s just character count limited, y’all. There could be a whole podcast just of conversations about teaching — hell in a way that’s what @diceexploder.com has done in many ways, that’s what @newmadras.bsky.social Yes Indie’d has tried from time to time)

My favorite part of these roundtables is that we always come in with big questions and always leave with them unanswered. But we're usually able to refine those big questions down into something that might one day have an answer.
manysidedmedia.bsky.social
We don't come close to answering any of the questions we set out to answer, but we do raise some new ones that will hopefully spiral off into more conversations about the future of TTRPGs and actual play.

But when you put people who think deeply about a topic in one room you're bound to have fun :)

If you’re looking for answers, this ain’t your roundtable. Instead it’s a lot of generative (unanswered) questions about who gets to be an authority, what it means to teach & evangelize for TTRPGs in different contexts, & more.

Hopefully the start of more conversations with more folks, more places.

Tune in Monday October 20th for our latest Talk of the Table Roundtable.

This conversation with @friede.bsky.social, @itsquinns.bsky.social, and @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social is all about teaching TTRPGs through actual play and finding more on-ramps into this hobby for new players.

There’s so many great things launching crowdfunding campaigns today, but the top of my list will always be new adventures in The Wildsea!

Can’t wait to read this one

As of about ten seconds ago, Tigers on the Wire, the new #Wildsea #TRPG adventure, is officially #crowdfunding!

We're generally looking for folks doing interesting things with actual play and TTRPGs. We're much more focused on non-D&D shows and shows that place a bit more emphasis on post-production.
manysidedmedia.bsky.social
Absolutely. And I'm hoping we can continue to help cool artists making interesting and innovative podcasts by making it just a little bit easier with some money in their pockets.

In just a few short months we've been able to facilitate thousands of dollars in sponsorships for affiliate shows and half a dozen ad campaigns with indie game publishers and designers.

These are just out first few steps and we hope to be able to do bigger and better things in the years to come!
manysidedmedia.bsky.social
Today we got to do something INCREDIBLY exciting that was one of the core reasons we started the Many Sided Network:

We got to pay our affiliates!

No one is receiving a lifechanging amount of money—far from it—but we're proud to help small independent podcasters make a bit of money from their art

Do not sleep on this. We have 1,200 people in here roleplaying. I've seen people make their own free press, people doing propaganda, recruiting for factions, selling meat (?? how ??). Behind the scenes I'm seeing bosses organize, set orders, outline their vision, make secret plans and hierarchies.

We had a blast diving deep into our production and post-production process for one of my favorite scenes from our season of The Wildsea on My First Dungeon.

Lots of great discussions on how to produce actual play littered throughout this conversation.

Go listen!

The Time We Have by @moreblueberries.bsky.social is out today!!!!!!!!🪑🚪🪑

I was lucky to work with Elliot on both the title art and card art to accompany the apocalypse prompt written by @felixisaacs.bsky.social
Image shows card art and text for the game The Time We Have. The card art shows a door with an eye embedded into it. Behind the door is the night sky, complete with stars and Aurora Borealis. Text reads "Tragic Zombie Storytelling Game for Any Apocalypse". Card art by B Marsollier, card prompt writing by Felix Isaacs.

This game is something special, one of a kind. Elliot's a brilliant designer and if you don't own this game you're missing out on an all timer!

I had the pleasure to write a door card of a magical necromancy fantasy apocalypse so play TTWH in your dnds and heartbreakers!

The Time We Have: A Conversation Between Brothers is NOW AVAILABLE

A tragic two-player zombie roleplaying game played on opposite sides of a closed door. A game about what it means to be a brother.

Want to learn more about the game? It's time for a megathread ⬇️

DEEPLY honoured to have contributed to this kickass game that will make people very sad
White text at the top reading "Tragic Zombie Storyteling for Any Apocalypse". Below, an illustration of a door that seems to be containing fire in the next room, with a sign that reads, "MEETING IN PROGRESS, DO NOT DISTURB." Next to it is a slightly concealed card with mostly text that begins with, "Urgent! Employees of the Underworld. Management is aware of circulating rumours around a virus that 'resurrects' those infected. This is not true. This virus does something much worse! and must be contained." The rest of the text is covered by the door illustration. Beneath, "The Time We Have" logo floats above text that reads, "Available Now."
