What little attention I get here probably made me feel a tiny bit like I had some control over discourse. Like I have some kind of voice. But anything less than being a congressman probably wouldn't be enough.

My mind was excited to remember a conversation I had earlier this year, in order to dig into it for things to nitpick and bully myself for, even as I reminded myself that I was already cussing and having some kind of meltdown begging myself not to do that right after that conversation was over.

I think my obsessive self-criticism and self-hatred has gotten a lot worse under an overtly fascist US and the constant stream of terrifying news, because my brain is trying to find and correct things about myself, which I theoretically have more control over, even though I can't go back in time.

Though I do know this is a temporary block. If this library does end up being built somewhere, they can always rename it. And change their selection. I can only imagine a Trump library only having books considered politically correct by Republikkkans. No sex ed, yes Turner Diaries and Mein Kampf.

I wonder if his "divisiveness" is a factor. I really hope anything erected in Trump's name will age very poorly. I don't know how much suffering a president has to inflict on his country's own people and abroad, in the information age, before people quit having the memory of a goldfish about it all.

Very interesting story. There is an ongoing reckoning about inappropriate fan behavior at concerts. Young people are baffled. They don't know if it was COVID that broke people's brains or what.

He signs a memo that he wants to illegally pay the military (already skewed right-wing) specifically, of all federal employees; he wants them on his side so he can use them on citizens.

And if this doesn't work, because it's illegal, he'll say, "I wanted to pay you, but Our Enemies wouldn't let me"
