We'll never get it besides maybe with Grezzo, they've been doing a lot of the remakes and even some originals like Tri Force Heroes and Echos of Wisdom

Their writing in the series always barely tops out better than a high school creative writing class, and it makes the worlds (read: world, cause they only ever use Hyrule anymore) feel shallow

When it comes to Zelda, I think Nintendo genuinely can't conceive that players would want to have Link build connections with characters in the world beyond simple item collection quests, that players would want to see the hero actually make an impact on others and give a shit about the world
