I'll say it since I took a recent class for this

When you ask someone who is in serious need of help, the only way forward is "are you thinking about suicide?"

Any other way (ending your life, ending it all, exiting life, sleeping for a long time) can get muddled because it skirts around it

This is also possibly just going to affect LLM models but that's speculation bc I'm not an AI tech person. But AI collapsing on itself could also trigger the AI bubble to burst

It would be not great (markets bursting are never great for the little people like us) but if AI gets wrecked

We should find it alarming that OpenAI wants explicit chats now. That means people are at their more vulnerable and on top of the anti-porn push by Visa (which this could actually help AGAINST visa) again, you have to ask why

Because the outputs will be more chaotic, more uncreative, harder to reel in. But if it already scraped the internet (consider that is 30-40 years of actual information online) then it's at its peak. Humans cannot make new info for it at the pace it needs

The latest AI theory I've come across gets me excited

The idea that AI will implode on itself because it has already scraped the internet (?) so the only other resource will be its own slop

In a sense, Glaze and nightshade have done this but AI doing it to itself is what you ideally want

Our federal tax dollars are being used to fund a network of government social media accounts that pump out disinformation 24/7. Even during a government shutdown. It’s definitely not essential work.

unless you work in news, highly recommend everyone block every (US) gov. account on bsky. Mostly bc they're pushing propaganda. eventually they'll fall off bsky since the accounts they already had on here didn't have any traction until now
