it’s really shitty how difficult it is to come by news and talk about Gaza here on the Morally Superior Site. the genocide in Gaza is quite literally the defining issue of this political moment and you can’t find shit about it here

The other perception problem is that they're soft banning a lot of activism for Gaza. I've seen pro-Palestinian activists on here but that may just be based on who I personally follow, I don't know if there is truth to that

if I were being conspiratorial, I’d say that they likely don’t want a total influx of left users from Twitter bc it would make auto-modding stuff about Gaza way more difficult and infuriate the insane amount of libs on here. but hey, maybe putting polls on your website is impossible?

the USSR hasn’t existed in 34 years, Mao has been dead for even longer, there are more recent examples to point at. I mean, unless you’re following up your denunciations by pointing to all the good they did. Stalin and Mao we’re both integral to winning WW2, more so than any capitalist leaders

At a certain point we have to address a fundamental problem amongst American socialists (who have accomplished very little in the last 60 years) wherein they feel the need to disavow every socialist country, condemn every socialist leader, and run away from any socialist policy or agenda.

if you did actually want people from Twitter to full migrate here, this is an extremely simple thing that would accomplish that but I guess it’s just too hard and they had to worry about placating Jesse Singal’s feelings instead
