Since there are lots of new people on Bluesky, here's a reintroduction :

Low Orbit Tourist, since 2016 I'm looking for cool satellite imagery on Google Earth, both natural and human altered/made. All of them are available in 4K/HD

United States Army Security Agency (USASA) Field Station Augsburg - West Germany the picture is showing a green field of grass on which a big circular antennae structure is visible, in its center, another circular structure is present Sudan a desertic landscape seen from above, in which a clear sandy zone melds into black sand. a black dot is present on the left side in the middle of the clear sand, giving it an abstract painting quality Gwangyang industrial complex - South Korea a huge metalwork complex seen from above. from right to left we can see the raw ore, then metal foundries, then more plants and the big hangars in which the end product is probably stockpiled Roter Kamm crater - Namibia a cicrcular red/orange crater in the middle of an red/orange desert, seen from above

The Indus River between Guddu and Sukkur, Pakistan.
Relative elevation model. Shows meanders and quite a few former river bends over a roughly 40-50 km wide floodplain. Purple upstream to blue downstream.

The area is very different looking depending on the seasons yes ! I saw some winter pictures by going through the archive from Google Earth and there was what I assume is a large landing strip drawn on top of the sea, which was totally frozen over, of course

HiPOD: Layers Blanket a Crater Floor

This image shows a layered rock formation within Jiji Crater that has eroded into buttes and stair-like layers. Our image also indicates that much of the formation has eroded away relative to what has remained.
