To everyone working to look out for our neighbors in this time of instability and uncertainty, I thank you.

To everyone daring to show love and kindness instead of giving in to hate and division, I thank you.

You all are the light in dark times. 🙏🏾
I bet Becky Hammon isn’t involved in illegal poker rings. Still time to right this, #Trailblazers.

Let me go on the record: as much money I have, whatever I can spare, I will ALWAYS want the extra to go to feed children

These GOP politicians have to stop describing largely peaceful urban centers like Portland and Chicago as war zones. The unpeaceful parts are where the Feds have shown up to spread fear and abuse.

Donald Trump is authorizing the U.S. military to use “full force” on Portland, Oregon. He is waging war on American cities because he understands something critical.

Our cities are the last line of defense in our pursuit of democracy.

This is not a distraction or a mistake. This is surgical.
Did ESPN abuse the word “epic” today? Yes, especially given the high bar for epic receptions in NY Giants history.

“awful people don’t deserve to be killed, but they don’t deserve to be praised, either” is apparently a thought too complex for the pundit mind

All I’ve seen from Dems is well wishes for Charlie Kirk. When Melissa Hortman and her husband were assassinated in their home it was either crickets at best or jokes at worst from Republicans.

When someone who made a life of profiting from inhumanity is themselves on the receiving end of inhumanity, I don’t lose my humanity in response.

I acknowledge an act of inhumanity has occurred and will now cause suffering by people not party to it.

Then I return to places where humanity exists.

If I have any credibility with you from 20 years of reporting on rightwing & fascist movements, please listen when I beg you not to celebrate Charlie Kirk getting shot. Leave aside morality: this isn’t a match in dry grass, it’s a torch. We do not want what this could ignite & we would not win.

Big crowd. Big win. Top of the table.
After the most recent LouCity-Lexington SC match, the @courierjournal.bsky.social’s continued ignoring of soccer is more and more embarrassing.
The film world today mourns the loss of the star of the cinematic landmarks “No Holds Barred” and “Santa With Muscles.”

Yes, CBS paid Trump a $16 million bribe, and yes, Stephen Colbert said so on the air, and yes, CBS canceled his show the next day. But actually, given the economic realities of the prevailing late-night landscape, that is still exactly what happened.
This is a huge bummer.
CBS claims that its decision to cancel Stephen Colbert’s show is “financial,” but “the network that once made Cronkite the most trusted man in America no longer gets the benefit of the doubt,” @dgraham.bsky.social argues:
Is Colbert’s Ouster Really Just a ‘Financial Decision’?
CBS no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt.
