Please don't promote the flaws of the WaPo headline.

"The White House" is not destroying its own East Wing. Trump is destroying it. It's his decision to demolish this historic building and build a monument to his base ego.
How about all banks that profited off slavery, including legacy corporations, should pay for reparations. Wells Fargo, Citibank, Bank of America, AIG, etc etc.
That headline!!

Trump isn't destroying the East Wing, the White House is. The building is removing its own wing.

Trump "had claimed." Not claiming anymore He didn't promise or assure, let alone lie.

Trump has no agency or culpability in anything.
Dictionaries are "descriptive" not "prescriptive"
It's "duck" tape not "duct" tape (the original was made from cotton duck)

It's "perq" not "perk" (short for perquisite)
And since they are not on furlough, this means someone in leadership classified them as essential.

Take it from us -- an organization that closely studies all the horrific ways people can die from common household items -- have the jelly donut.
Full of saturated fats, sugars and carbohydrates it'll create visceral fat around your heart and your liver and end your life early.
So the Met Gala, but they wear the art from the collection.
In school I had several teacher with a policy that throwing things in class was punishable. Unless you were throwing trash in the garbage, then if you made it in you were absolved. If you missed, it was double the punishment.
Why not? That's the way asset forfeiture and wage theft pretty much already work in the US. Why no spread it to other forms of stealing?
As I recall, it used to be in the Mount Royal Tavern. Is it still there?
Some mosaic artist. Not sure the name.

Just my 2cents but having gone to a SEC school with a cross state rival (FSU v UF) it’s my experience students don’t take these rivalries as seriously as the sports media would have you believe. I saw more cooperation between the 2 schools than competition.
Kind of Ironic that they are The Cavaliers, no?
A lot of these types prefer the message of the wrathful, violent god of the Old Testament and would drop the New Testament in a heart beat, but they are afraid people might think they are Jewish. It's why the always want the Ten Commandments on public land but never the Beatitudes.
I like to member it as Hayward Shepherd day.
I don't disagree, but it’s worth remembering the first person killed at Harpers ferry was Hayward shepherd a free black baggage handler for the B&O railroad.
You May be thinking of Edmund Kirby- Smith.
My understanding of American Evangelical theology (which admittedly is tenuous) is that good works do not get you into heaven. Only faith in Jesus.
Makes quite a match with the Magic Gardens in Philly.
I blame the government shut down.
