it's a shame "disaster games" never really took off, just a regular person on an incredibly dangerous situation and trying to get out alive. Closest we got outside survival horror was maybe the first of the Tomb Raider reboot games, and even that is a bit different.

When people were doing the "when you ride a tesla you ride with MechaHitler" jokes I did a poster in the same style where I made the MechaHitler from Wolfenstein 3D in Blender for reference and redrew the guy and the Tesla they were on. Sure, it took a few hours, but was it fun to do? Hell yeah.

Friend of mine lived in a place where the other side of the street was an abandoned factory, from that end you could see inside past the collapsed ceiling. From the other end of that apartment he had a glorious unobstructed view of farmland and nature. Dude lived in the bus from the meme.

I remember my parents waking me up to see Rosa Mota win the marathon in 1988, maybe around 4am or so. Live sports is one of the few things people can still enjoy together and that's why the "uuugh SPLORPSBALL can't you talk of something else???" people kinda get on my nerves.

Crowe learned to play the violin for those scenes (with an expensive vintage one, not a Yamaha from the store downtown) and apparently was disappointed when they dubbed in the sound because he had gotten decent enough at it.
