What we’re finding out during the Trump presidency is that while lying & misleading people is great for getting elected in America today, it’s a comically bad way to govern. Science doesn’t care about your feelings, neither does reality. The Trump Show will have disastrous outcomes for all of us.

What’s more, many citizens have no ID at all. Children? Homeless? Elderly people who were never issued a birth certificate? Sovereign citizens? Amish? It’s not illegal to be a citizen in this country and have no papers on your person to show the police.

The problem with “show your papers” is that American citizens do not have “papers.” I (68, descendent of citizens) have a driver’s license with my husband’s last name & I have a SSN. My license was issued by NC but isn’t good enough for me to fly—so it isn’t a national ID.

I’m a little confused at where this idea originated from. Is this a plan that came out of Trump’s addled brain? Is it coming from Putin? Who pays for it? What’s the reason for it? What are the chances of it actually happening?

This is always his go to lie: the people of X city are asking us to come. It’s a dumb lie that doesn’t convince anyone but he falls back on it because the reality is he chooses which city to invade. Journalists should be asking “What’s your criteria for taking over a city?”

The NYT describing the shitty video posted by Trump as “appeared to be AI” gave me the biggest laugh this morning. “Appeared to be” as opposed to what? Live action film of a pilot wearing a crown & a Trump mask flying a plane and spraying shit? It wasn’t a cartoon. It wasn’t stop motion or puppets.

He claims that Putin “won” parts of Ukraine. The war is not over so Putin hasn’t won anything. Ukraine is not going to give up part of their country to the invader. Trump has a fuzzy brain that doesn’t work and no one should be listening to his ideas, let alone creating policies around those ideas.

Denigrating & dismissing the old, white people in American politics is quite a stance. Clearly MAGAts must have had a terrible day yesterday as it dawned on them that the NO KINGS protests were huge & peaceful. Maybe they can soothe themselves with the fake video of Trump shitting on Americans.

Our side: Millions show up. We wear goofy costumes. We carry witty signs. Do all this peacefully, without pay, for love of country.

It’s so obvious who the bad guys are. I’m glad to be on the side for good.

The amount of money this administration spends on ego-boosting nonsense is staggering. Trump himself has spent billions on golfing, rigging out his gift plane, gilding up the WH interiors, turning the Rose Garden into a patio, & the ballroom. Next up: the statue garden & the triumph arch.

Every clip I have seen of him he speaks like a thoughtful, honest human rather than a politician. It was so obvious during the debate because the other 2 men answered like practiced politicians with canned answers & he answered like someone really thinking about the question being asked.

I have so many questions about living on a diet of only meat & salt. Like how do you not get scurvy? I also question how the daughter leaps from describing her dad as having “decades of mold exposure” to having the symptoms of being “spiritually attacked.”

Maybe the thought of slavery is abhorrent to me because my childhood was not great. My mother slapped & hit whenever she wanted because she was an authoritarian with the power to do what she thought best. Not smiling—you were punished for being sullen. I can easily imagine being owned by a bully.

You need to believe in Christ in order to believe in an Antichrist. Judging by their words & actions I would say almost no one in power believes in Christ really; they only pretend—and that includes Mike Johnson. He displays no evidence that he believes in the Christ of the Bible.
