Trump keeps admitting in public that he's directly running all DOJ operations—which would include deciding to keep the Epstein Files hidden to protect himself—and media keeps pretending not to hear him. I still use it because I like the connections with friends from my life but lately I’ve found that too many I thought were good decent people are full on MAGA and then claim the moral high ground because they’re good Christians. It’s incredibly sad to find out they’re bigots and full of hate.

The provision of law barring ICE from turning away members of Congress is part of the annual appropriations bill. With the FY25 bill now expired and the government shut down, ICE is now saying they are no longer obligated to allow members entry; and their congressional visit process isn’t funded.
