I’m also trying to remember what the coaches told my son’s team this year when they came second - that there were a bunch of other players sitting at home who wanted to be playing in that game.

If I only get two more games then so be it - I want to savour them. The popcorn will be ready at 8.

We talked to a local fan who reminded us the Jays swept the Mariners in that stadium in May and his optimism helped me feel a bit better.

Look, I’m not mad.

But I am disappointed.

I can’t even bring myself to hate the Mariners. They came into this series on fire.

The Jays just can’t seem to get it together. You need hits if you hope to win.

You have a day off. Figure it out.
