Struggling so much with low confidence and self-esteem. Nothing new tbh but lately it feels impossible to shake. Being present feels fake and stepping back feels like a failure. Not sure how to break this cycle and it sucks.

“Move to the countryside,” they said. “It’ll be peaceful. It’ll reduce your stress.”
The loaded rifle rests over my knees as I glare around the setting dusk. Barbed wire encloses my yard. It forms a tight mesh that only lets through the nighttime shadows. Mika growls and I place a calming hand between her ears.
The shadows shift.
I raise the rifle, taking aim. “Go to hell, motherfucker!”

Just got stuck trying to remember the word "pitchfork" because in danish it's something as wonderful as "Høtyv" which literally translates to Hay Thief and how the hell am I supposed to remember it's actually pitchfork 🙈
