OTD in 1859, John Brown & friends began the raid on the U.S. military arsenal at Harper's Ferry, Virginia with the intention being to start a slave revolt in the south.

There is a non-zero chance Mike Johnson is also a pedophile.
To hell with #DefundSPD#DisbandSPD. They’re fucking fascist occupiers. #ACAB
Tech-bros? We won’t make you pay for the adverse impacts of your business on quality of life in our city as long as you keep our real estate industry happy and prosperous and keep funding my campaigns for public office. Harrell is a corrupt hack. Send him back to Bellevue.
Homebuilder? What can we do to eviscerate our permit process, kneecap our own officials, and ignore our own ordinances to make our life easier? Social housing advocate? What can we do to convince you we care while stealing money from your programs to fund more cops?
He does need to walk over Bruce Harrell and our Chamber of Commerce City Council. They are happy to do his bidding for him. Homeless? You must be a criminal and addict too; get lost or we’ll arrest you and send you to SCORE.
In his closing statement, Harrell said, "This is not the time for hope. Passion and great ideas and inexperience is just not going to get us there. Trump will walk all over a person without experience, period."
Memphis cops would be well-advised to remember their authority flows from the state not the federal government. Stephen Miller can neither empower nor protect them from the consequences they may face for illegal acts committed to advance MAGA’s agenda.
Stephen Miller tells law enforcement in MEMPHIS: “You are unleashed”
Rob Saka is a tool.
What will it take to vote these Chamber of Commerce lackeys off of Seattle City Council? Neoliberal thinking like this sits right on the cusp of neofascism. That's bad enough coming from the federal level; we need our state and local leaders to keep resisting rather than caving.
Bruce Harrell lacks the vision to look beyond where he’ll get his next free meal. Seattle has a political leadership deficit. What passes for leadership here usually amounts to chest thumping about “public safety” (which is dog-whistle for more cops and less oversight) and neoliberal claptrap.
Did armed agents in body armor make any effort to protect or defend the people — yes, people! — in their custody?
People who don’t live or vote in Seattle want us to believe we live in hell. They think our city should be more concerned with their economic welfare than our own social welfare. If our business climate is so bad, then move! Good riddance.
Because it is. We can add mendacious to the list too.
Harrell is clearly pandering to his donors rather than Seattle voters who see and feel the effects of his policies everyday. His condescension toward Wilson speaks volumes about his leadership style. He clearly believes he deserves a second term simply for showing up (which he hasn’t really done).

The reporter in question just offhandedly throws out there "or involuntary lethal injection. Just kill 'em" as a real suggestion for how to "deal with" homeless people.
This man will not be fired for calling for the murder of American citizens, yet multiple journalists/reporters/teachers lost their job for accurately reporting things Charlie Kirk actually said and stood for.

But it’s the “violent left” that’s the problem
Brian Kilmeade endorses euthanizing homeless people: "Involuntary lethal injection, or something. Just kill them."
The Seattle Times isn’t even useful as fish wrap. Danny Westneat is so far up Harrell’s ass he can see strum his vocal cords.

It was bad enough when government officials claimed that journalists incite violence by reporting. But now, they’re accusing reporters of actually committing violence.

The supposed violence by reporters? Recording videos.
Recording police is ‘violence’? Absolutely not.
Now the Trump administration is trying to destroy the right to document police by labeling it as an attack
