Generally non-fiction books are sold to publishers as proposals before they're written, so you could start with a proposal and see if you want to keep going with it.

RIP Drew Struzan. Not just a movie poster artist but a man capable of putting lightning in a bottle, and of taking the form of cinema and encapsulating its spirit in still imagery. The best that will ever do it.

Here are 4 of my favorites:
I am definitely going to smash my hand into something playing this.

I don't know, I don't really clock them. They don't make me look at them the way other games sometimes do. Right now the ads are Best Buy and whatever Epic Mountain Rewards is.
The people who make Framed also make Decipher, a game in which a quote has to be decoded. The quotes skew toward inspirational pablum, so they often come from self-help grifters. Today's is from noted fraud Napoleon Hill. (Not the first time it's quoted him!)

I watched THE BIG LEBOWSKI for the first time in many years. I had many thoughts, here's two: 1) All the characters are fighting for an amount of money that doesn't actually exist. But all we have is each other. 2) There is a lot of DRIVE AWAY DOLLS and HONEY DON'T to be found here.
I had no idea this existed and now it's all I want.
It's upsetting that the Coen Bros' adaptation of Cuba Libre was never made
Whenever I've watched REDS, there's a part of me that feels it's insane it even exists. Like it should be one of those unrealized projects people say, "Man, wouldn't it have been awesome if that had happened?"
There are so many Diane Keaton performances to remember, but a lot of people haven't seen Reds, and A) my God, see it, it is a masterpiece and B) her performance as Louise Bryant is one of the bravest, toughest, least sympathy-courting pieces of work by an American actress in the last 50 years.
If Le Creuset is cheugy, then I don't want to be whatever the opposite of cheugy is.
My new Le Creuset coffee mug just arrived! Now to take a biiiiiig sip from my brand new mug and check the news–
Le Creuset is Cheugy 👎
"You let him go for some words on paper?"

"But it's a story by a famous guy, Tone. He wrote ON THE ROAD."

"I don't give a fuck where he wrote, I want my money."

Anyone have a trustworthy list of organization to donate to support the fight against ICE raids?
My wife and I send our deepest sympathies. We never met Sandwiches, but she brought us great joy.
Except the "dated genre fiction" parts makes it a little too *off* - its weird without quite embracing the weirdness. And the parts that are *on* are not strong enough to really engage. The supporting cast, meanwhile, is stacked, but the leads are duds. Recast them and it works much better.
