Stale take but mb good framing. Vaccines are an interesting ethical vector bc it's obviously a bodily autonomy personal choice thing but, the long tail risk is that u could literally kill someone. It exemplifies the ways in which many ethical issues are actually deeply interdependent.

We should create corners of the social net that aggressively bully people for that classic online bad faith anti-nuance behavior. Like trolls and tenderqueers stumble in and get thrashed and just block everyone and never come back. Talk shit one street over but we're functionally isolated.

Maybe tellingly but different branches of the US government fighting each other is actually very much like foreign campaigns in a "bring the war home" kind of way. Like how US police got military contracts to borrow surplus rifles and boats and helicopters and lrads.

When they declare cities like Portland and Chicago warzones they don't realize they are also opening themselves up to all kinds of complex and hybrid conflict. Cops and ICE fighting each other. Gangs putting out hits on ice. Random civilians en masse spontaneously trapping or tailing and honking.

Relatedly when I moved to a Polynesian country and asked a bunch of like Sāmoans and Māori about the discourse around the label poly they all said some version of "that's some white people thing, we just use context clues".
