this is just the sort of thing that happens when you engage with data in a facile way; instead of asking 'why' something is the case (why do people spend billions of minutes in Microsoft Teams meetings?) the assumption is that everything is a matter of preference; ergo, spending time = enjoyment.

I'm not surprised. I've had a slow go through the original series. I think it kind of just lacks oomph as a series and I don't think that any of the director or Imaishi himself really have a strong vision.

Damn, that sucks. I'd really love to have something comparable to the gameplay and fleshed out story and sidequests of VII Rebirth, but a simplistic visual look so that it's not super expensive to make. >_<
