This article is a hot mess and shows why people who nothing about education policy should not be writing articles. Without going down the author's rabbit hole too far...he complains about "low standards" and then uses a test that is based on no state standards to prove his point. 🙄

This is some of the best political news I've seen in a very long time.

There's a clear a way to end the Citizens United precedent by changing state incorporation laws - and now luminaries in both parties are forcing a vote on it in the 2026 election.

Not surprising in the least (P25), but no less infuriating. Special education rights have been difficult to enforce (firsthand experience here), now will be next to impossible. It's going to be up to State AGs to do this...thank you NJ AG, Matt Platkin, for picking up the banner.

And public education has been under attack from the same people since the late 70's. Heritage went after school boards then. The "ed reform movement" has been a well-funded long game.

Emergency Medicaid spending in 2023 cost $3.8 billion — just 0.4% of total Medicaid spending.

Now what about the $20 billion taxpayers are giving to Argentina?
