They absolutely did. Young Americans for Freedom is the one I encountered most in the College Dems at Penn State, but I’m sure there were others. The YAFers are running things now. The Republican Party is irredeemable at this point.

ICE is throwing tear gas at infants; we are long past rehabilitation.

Yeah, that is a tear gas canister being fired toward the retreating couple holding the baby

Yeah, that’s true. I’m in about thirty different servers.

If they’re not reading news, watching news, watching tv, or using social media, what are they doing?
jscram3254.bsky.social
Given the importance of social media in reaching that age cohort, and the fact that most influencers only talk about things that get them paid in some way, I’d say it’s the lack of paid influencers.

I was always glad to see him show up in a role because you knew you’d be getting something good. He showed up as the big bad at the end of the first season of Leverage and just knocked it out of the park.

Honestly, keep it up. I think the conversation may be useful for people.

Oh, the White House absolutely lied. And the justices may have varied in their thoughts on effectuate, but it wasn’t part of the decision. All that said, Schumer should have set the red line at defying the courts generally. I suspect he didn’t so he wouldn’t be forced to act.

How much weapons production for Ukraine has yet to come online?
jscram3254.bsky.social
It wasn’t. The ruling was largely around the meaning of the word “effectuate” and the White House ran with that. That was why they kept insisting that he wasn’t in U.S. custody, so the best they could do to effectuate his release was to ask nicely. SCOTUS has been complicit, so no defiance.
jscram3254.bsky.social
The full ruling left the order in place, but sent it back to the district court for clarification. No deadline or demand was actually made by SCOTUS. SCOTUSBlog has a pretty good summary of it. www.scotusblog.com/cases/case-f...

1)You may remember the articles criticizing liberal students for their hesitancy to make friends with conservative students—alleging that they were less open-minded than their conservative counterparts.

Has he defied the Supreme Court? He’s defied other courts, but the hacks on the Supreme Court have given him essentially everything he asks for. No need to defy something you’ve captured.

One thing that’s probably getting overlooked here is: these folks are serious about this stuff.

Thousands of posts from a private Young Republican Telegram chat reveal a culture of casual racism/antisemitism, rape jokes and celebration of Hitler/Nazism.

Some of the ringleaders are below: We live in a world where 4chan types now occupy positions of real power.

an american citizen, mother of three, who was playing the clarinet in a peaceful protest outside the city has been nabbed by ICE, held in a jail across state lines, without bail nor any specific charges.

i mean, yikes?

And it never happens. Here in Philly, our incumbent progressive District Attorney, Larry Krasner won his primary in a walk. His opponent, Pat Dugan, accepted the endorsement of Republicans from a write-in effort and is running again in the general right now.

Feds have got until midnight tonight to take down the fence in front of the Broadview ICE facility, per a recent ruling from district judge LaShonda Hunt.

Not sure what’s up but this flatbed with what appears like more fence materials has pulled up outside Broadview.

As do the centrists. For example, when are we getting the Mamdani endorsement from Jeffries?
