How it's themes of blending in, standing out and moral flexibility and inflexibility may be hidden in the subtext. But they're there. And that's why the movie has stuck with me.
Im talking about appointments to the metro board of which the mayor is a key member. I dont trust that board members take metro issues seriously, in part because most of them drive everywhere.
Im being hyperbolic, but i think it speaks to all of these contracting issues, & issues with HLA implementation. We're way behind on the D line in part because of the division 20 being designed for light rail, & the LAX people mover has been pushed back a year
Metro now expects the Wilshire D Line subway extension section 1 (from Koreatown to Beverly Hills) to open by March 20 2026. See thread for links/details.
I personally think they should implement full pricing in the mountains, and along the 10 when the sepulveda line, D line, and Venice BRT (or rail) are implemented.
I get it's hard to get to get to the westside without the 10, but full congestion pricing should be implemented there eventually.
