I'm really glad I got mine sorted last time we had measles in the country! I wasn't sure what my immunisation status was due to international moves, but there's no harm in topping up even if you did have both, especially after a long time.

Last weekend was a very busy Labour Day weekend in our house, so I've had to squish up my schedule and move my writing all to this end of the week, instead of my usual Tuesday blog focus. I've got a lot of different tasks that need to be done, but they're not big ones.

ME/CFS is an evil disease and the fact that there are zero clinical supports for it should be an international scandal. the only reason it isn't is because people with ME/CFS are too sick to advocate on behalf of ourselves.

I’d like to add that it doesn’t even need to be academic. So many people equate learning and studying with school or with productivity. Knowing a bunch about a sports team or enjoying pop culture/a fandom is a form of study. You’re learning things about that thing for your enjoyment.

I think we under-estimate how many people are miserable because they have no enthusiasms, no hobbies, because they gave up reading and quit learning when school ended. It's shocking how much studying a beloved subject elevates your mood. It will transform your life.
